The Sidekicks is a 3-hero platformer in the fashion of games like Trine, and it’s coming to your mobile devices October 18th. As we wrote about a few months back, this platformer has you playing Bellie G, Zeronita, and Noobert as you try to make it through 30 hand-crafted levels. Each of the characters has their own superpowers and abilities, and you’ll have to use each wisely if you want to make it through the many puzzles you’ll encounter. In addition to their special powers, each character has their own personality, which adds humor to the game. Zeronita is a goth who dresses in all black, has no patience for the world, and has a scream that shatters glass and makes enemies vanish. Bellie G, on the other hand, has an almighty belly bounce, of course.
The developers tried to fill the game with references to classic video games and movies, which should be fun if they’ve managed to nail that. And there are secret areas to discover as well as achievements and the usual fare. And with three distinct worlds—The Dawn, The Chill, and The Glitch—there should be plenty of content to play through.
