Death Point ($5.99) is a prime example of my favorite feature of the App Store, as it’s one of those games that appears out of absolutely nowhere but ends up being deceptively awesome. With its exciting stealth-infused take on the dual stick shooter, Death Point made quite a splash on our forums when it released in August, and comparisons that equated the game to a top-down mobile Metal Gear Solid really sum up the very essence of Andiks Ltd’s surprise App Store hit. However, the game was by no means perfect, and many enthusiastic gamers were sceptical of the inconsistent virtual dual-stick controls – by no means a deal-breaker, but something that would inevitably necessitate some time to get used to in the title. Thankfully, the developers have been actively listening to feedback on our forums, and have today released an update for Death Point that introduces MFi controller compatibility alongside a multitude of additional fixes and tweaks.
The inclusion of MFi controller support is especially desirable for a game like Death Point that does require accurate controls, and any owners of any such devices who may have passed on the title first time around should definitely give Death Point another chance. The other main feature in this 1.4 update is additional checkpoints on levels, which should make the experience slightly less frustrating in the more difficult parts of Death Point. Tweaks to the general gameplay, such as how the Uzi will automatically witch to the next weapon when its ammo has been whittled away, are also welcome, and only further emphasise Death Point’s status as one of the best stealth action titles of 2017. I can’t wait to jump back into the game with my SteelSeries Stratus in tow – whether you’re excited by this new update, or if this is the first time you’ve heard of the title, head to our forum thread for more information and discussion on Death Point.

I agree with this pick. There will always be issues but it's a pretty impressive and fun game.
Gameplay is great, but I hate korpens. It'll take forever to unlock other characters.
Its a fun game but just one game mode and small maps. Plus the crates dont give much. The usual aggressive freemium approach of gameloft.
It did however make me revisit other fps games on my phone and now im really enjoying C-Ops and guns of boom. I even redownloaded MW5 which is pretty pay to win but right now more to my liking than versus.
But i think versus will be pretty good with some new modes and maps.
Have you tried Forward Assault?
I’ll give it a shot!
Bullet force is pretty good.
Been playing the game since it was out and all I could say is, it's wasn't the ' modern combat series' that I was familiar with but at the same time, am not saying it's not good. As far as I could say about the game, it's like when you jump from halo to call of duty type of feelings. The feeling this game gave you while your playing is like playing titanfall and call of duty duty added together. Kind of that somewhere somewhere between those two game of feeling. Nothing to explain about a free game rather than download it yourself to see if you like it or not lol
Modern Combat 5 wins. It has at least 5 different game modes compared to one. It has alot more customalisation, yet still rankings you can unlock. Its combat mechanics reward skill even though the free2play elements. Modern Combat versus has aim assist and fixed stats in multiplayer basicly making it a battle for stats your character has versus another character.
However modern combat versus looks SOOOOO beautiful compared to modern combat 5.
Modern combat 5 has been out for 3-4 years while modern combat versus has been out for a Day (World wide) so Thats prob why.
Modern combat versus Will get new modes and maps.
Oh well, Last Colossus got passed up...shame really..
I still think Deadheads is the best online FPS available on iOS.
This type of games are made to make money.I have played FTP games that did it just right but most of them have frustrating timers, but the times that you could buy Gameloft games are over apparently they make more money with FTP games.
Over a year ago I’m pretty sure I read a story here that either in a shareholder report or in a press release or something they came out and said they were only going to make free to play games. Gameloft has always been about making money, not for the love of making games. They made they’re money by cloning existing games. They did a great job of it to. Always have. The only thing that surprised me about them going 100% FTP is that they didnt do it earlier.
I wish they had more modes.
