Curiously enough, it was none other than Apple that tipped us off that The Witness ($9.99) would be hitting the App Store super soon, and much as I speculated earlier today, “soon" means… Right now. The Witness launched on iOS at $9.99, which is far cheaper than the Steam version which is selling for $39.99. The Witness is a mysterious puzzle game set on a strange island, and a lot of people have compared it to a “modern day" Myst which, at least from watching trailers, seems like an apt description. I’ve been saving this game to play on my iPad, so, this will be my first time experiencing The Witness tonight.

Completely agree. MC3 was so good and really wish they would have made a single player OFFLINE mode.
It has a solo mode but you need to be online. Solo mode also gives you rewards like multiplayer but you have to win every third time.
No single player mode is a dealbreaker for me. I prefer single player modes and a campaign over playing online vs cheaters and trolls who eventually take over all online games. Gameloft used to make great console quality mobile games but they sold out and now their games have timers and pay to advance gameplay. Modern Combat 3 and Nova 3 are the best shooter mobile games ever but too bad nobody makes games like those anymore.
Yes. Nova 3 was great. Then it was hacked, but still fun. I liked being able to have a jet pack and drive cars and mechs. Miss that game. Good single player to imho for a phone.
