iPad-owning strategy fans were treated to a port of 2004 hit Rome: Total War ($9.99) last November, and developer Feral Interactive announced in January that the game’s expansion Barbarian Invasion would also be arriving in the App Store sometime in March. Well, it’s March, and today Feral has revealed that “sometime" is actually March 28th. Along with this release date announcement, Feral also released a new trailer last week showcasing Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion on the iPad, check it out.
For being a 12-year old game, Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion is looking pretty clean still. Feral hasn’t released the device requirements for this specific expansion, but the original Rome: Total War required a first generation iPad Air or newer, an iPad mini 2 or newer, or any iPad Pro, so I imagine it’ll be about the same for Barbarian Invasion. Also, being that this is an expansion, Barbarian Invasion will be just half the price of the regular game at $4.99. Keep your eyes peeled for Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion later this month on March 28th.
