‘WWE: Champions’ Is a Just -Released Match-3 Wrestling Game

TouchArcade Rating:

Do you like your wrestling matches done using Match-3 mechanics? Then you’re in luck because WWE: Champions (Free) has just released globally after a soft-launch period. WWE Champions is a puzzle RPG with all of WWE’s old and new stars. The game includes wrestlers like The Rock but also the likes of Macho Man Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, Ultimate Warrior, and many more. For fans of wrestling’s history, WWE: Champions will be a trip down memory lane for sure and a chance to make all kinds of fantasy matchups that time didn’t allow.

Those matchups play out in a match-3 kind of way similar to all the other puzzle RPG games out there. If you do like that kind of gameplay, you’ll probably enjoy WWE: Champions and its ton of content. There are 1-on-1 matches as well as Tag-Team ones, alliances you can form with your friends to help keep your wrestlers in good shape, and much more. The game is, of course, free and is available now.

I've only just started watching the show.
No spoilers, please, but does anybody die?

This was a silly question. :D

Ugh another base builder/city pvp game. Play for a day or two until you hit the point where the game either makes you wait a day to do anything or pay for overpriced currency to keep going at a reasonable pace. No thanks you can see the mediocrity a mile away

So...it sounds [reads?] like it will be in the style of Game of War:Fire Age (Evony, etc)? Or, If they are rendering 100000 objects and 1000 AI is this a first person/open world type of game?

It's Disruptor Beam. Expect it to be highly monetized, F2P. I think we are all used to that by now.
It just means that if you are excited to go building an empire with Rick Grimes as the leader, you probably going to need to open your wallet...or grind a whole lot.
