‘World of Tanks: Blitz’ Adds a WWI Tank For a Week In Celebration of 100 Years of Tanks

TouchArcade Rating:

Wargaming is celebrating 100 years of tanks with a special World of Tanks: Blitz (Free) event that sounds like great fun. The celebration is all about the Mark I, the first tank to roll on a battlefield, so you’ll actually get your hands on one of those beasts rather than the technologically-advanced (for the time) WWII tanks we are so used to playing. So, in celebration of this event, WOT Blitz players will get to take control of a modified Mark I tank in a 7-7 battle. Once they complete 10 battles in the Mark I, players will get a special medal to remember the experience. Sounds like fun, and I’m curious to see how Mark I plays.

World of Tanks

In honor of the anniversary, Wargaming put out a free Tank 100  app, created in association with the Tank Museum, that lets you experience an AR WWI tank. Neat idea. The event will start September 19th and will run for a week, so get ready to take that behemoth for a ride.

I can't wait to play a MF Animal Crossing spinoff on my phone. I am anxiously but patiently waiting. If that makes sense.

Super Mario Run is the only thing that can make us happy

Might be time to buy some Nintendo shares again. Have they dropped back much since the Pokemon Go craze died down?

I don't doubt an official Mario game on mobile will move the waters in the industry.
But whatever, Ninty, keep playing it safe...

I don't exactly blame them though, it's a race to the bottom in there and going all in and releasing solid expensive games probably would lose them more money than the Wii U has. Playing it cool until you get a sense of how it works isn't a bad thing, it isn't their playground this time after all.

Mario delays Fire Emblem? Could have lived without the knowledge. Aren't there enough Mario Games already? -.-
