Looks like it’s nostalgia week on the App Store because after getting a He-Man game yesterday, today we are getting G.I. JOE vehicles in Micro Machines (Free). Micro Machines in itself is a retro game brought back to life, and adding G.I. JOE vehicles on top of that is like having a nostalgia sandwich. The new update adds seven classic G.I. JOE combat vehicles: you can drive the H.I.S.S. Tank around, use Cobra Rage to take out other players on the arena combat, or even mess around with Rolling Thunder. In addition to the G.I. JOE vehicles, the update has also added a new track, Army Action, that comes complete with plastic soldiers and tanks and even a working minefield.

So, if you’re an 80s child like I am, I expect you’ll be taking those G.I. JOE vehicles for a ride. At the same time, realizing that G.I. JOE (and He-Man for that matter) are both so old now really doesn’t make my feel that spry. Oh well, life goes on. Enjoy your new vehicles.
