For far too long, fans of stylish-yet-cute games have had to trade their love of easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master games with the fact that they aren’t real games. You see, many of these games don’t have hex grids, so they’re not real games. So disappointing. But every so often, you get a game that is both casual-friendly but also a real game. Like, Oddhop ($0.99) is a pretty fun little game that’s got hex grids. But they are too few! The Little Fox puports to do just this: be a cute and appealing game that’s an auto-runner while also using hex grids, what?!
In The Little Fox, you control the eponymous little fox, who runs automatically along hex grid levels. You have to collect random pickups along the way, and use the various springs, turn tiles, and otherwise to try and make it to the end of each level in one piece. Looks fun, and you’ll be able to check it out on June 30th, this Thursday.
