As many already know, Beamdog, the company that has brought Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II to mobile, is developing a new game in that universe, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear. Well, if you were worried that the game might have a hard time retaining the feel of the original ones, you should be able to sleep better tonight after the news that ex-BioWare writer, David Gaider, has joined the studio as creative director. Gaider has worked on the original Baldur’s Gate games while in BioWare and was also a writer and designer on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and more. By bringing in someone who’s had a hand in the original games, Beamdog hopes that its Baldur’s Gate game will retain the franchise’s feel and please its fans.
If you don’t know much about Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, the game takes place at a time in between Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II, will use an updated version of the Infinity Engine, and will offer around 25 hours of gameplay. It will also add new characters and a new class, and you’ll be able to use your characters from the first game and then export them to the second one. If you like the classic RPGs, I expect you’ll enjoy this one quite a lot. The game is coming “soon" and it will hit the PC first before iOS, so don’t expect it too soon.

Big win here, bought this awhile ago but wished it had MFI support. Now it does plus I can play it through Apple TV! Win/Win
I fear it may be a little too late for this one :/
Well not if you own it already :0)
No I mean for this game at all, it's time has kind of passed and it's mediocre reputation has been kind of cemented. I don't think many players will be coming back for it
It got a mediocre reputation because of that nunce Carter! It is actually a fantastic game far better than the majority of iOS games! On AppleTv and a controller it really would be a "console quality" game.
It's got a 4 out of 5 average rating on the App Store, and Apple Editors Choice, so I'm not sure what bad reputation you're referring to. Remember, TA commenters are just a small percentage of iOS gamers.
That's good. Update is much appreciated.
Nice to see more games coming to AppleTV!
Amazing!! I've been holding off playing this because of lack of MFi support.. and now I can play on my ATV too! :D
Heroki on an Apple TV with a controller would be amazing that's all I can say!
