Hi-Rez Studios, who are known for the third-person action MOBA Smite on desktop and console, are venturing into mobile with their first mobile game, Jetpack Fighter (Free), which is out now on the App Store.. While it would be easy for them to do something Smite-related, they decided to go in an entirely different direction: here, you control a warrior with a sword and the ability to endlessly dash through the air, slicing through enemies to get big combos, and engaging in rad-looking dash-slashing fights with bosses.
The whole game takes place in a vaguely anime-inspired universe, and all the characters are some pretty cool female fighter designs. Jetpack Fighter is free-to-play, and you can get loot, buy new characters, and craft items for your fighters. The game looks really cool, especially as the air slashing done with swipes means that it’s pretty easy to get into and play this one, while still feeling like you’re doing cool things. This one is available now worldwide.

Oh this game is a blast! Finally got a new ship and opened up a couple new levels.
Thanks man! Looks solid.
Tanks, man!
Frank's man.
Universal update prease :)
Hi, I'd love to make a universal version but Starseed just didn't do well enough I'm afraid.
I loathed this game. Excessively poxelly, no player agency and enemies that come from under your thumb. Weak sauce upgrade system. Mega pass even at free. Shocked this could get a 4 star review from TA.
Sorry you loathed my game.
Same for me I tried it but removed it after a few minutes not my thing.
I absolutely loved working on this game, and Shane is a fine chap of a developer.
Tis a pity that Apple don't allow some kind of 'honesty box', or 'pay what you like' way of pricing after downloading for free to try it out etc. Bah.
How isn't that doable? I think Rocketcat used a nonsensical IAP (was it for Mage Gauntlet?) like different hats for the character, so effectively a "pay us just because you like us" scheme.
I think that every dev that put a lot of effort in making a game deserve some money this is the system the whole western world works with, mabey a timer that afther a while the game is removed from the phone, people that really like the game will buy it.
