Idle clickers are really in vogue right now, and it feels a lot like we’re seeing developers just try to see how far they can go with the various concepts that would possibly work for the genre. As such, Grogshot Games’ Clicker Pirates will try to further the idle clicker by introducing pirates to the well-worn genre. Want to collect gold, treasure, and artifacts, all while fighting sea creatures through tapping and passive DPS systems? This looks like it’ll be your game, then.
Developer Grogshot Games is planning on soft launching this one soon on iOS, though next week Android players in certain countries can check it out. I still get suckered into the clicker genre from time to time, though I do wonder how long the genre really has before people grow weary of it. But hey, maybe it just works.
