It doesn’t take more than a stroll down Twitter Street to see how excited everyone is with the upcoming release of Fallout 4. This franchise has been a hit ever since the first one came out many, many years ago, and from the looks of it, Fallout 4 looks poised to continue the tradition. While we aren’t getting Fallout 4 on our devices (yet), we just got the official Fallout Pip-Boy (Free) app from Bethesda, and it looks like more than just an afterthought. The app will allow you to interact with Fallout 4 on your Xbox One, Playstation 4, or PC whenever you are away from your base of operations (aka, home). You’ll be able to check your Stats, Inventory, Map, and radio, perfect for when you want to overthink what your next perk should be.
The app also includes holotape games like Atomic Command, so there’s slightly more to it than simply a way to keep an eye on your wasteland dweller. And if you’ve bought the Fallout 4 Collector’s Edition, you’ll be able to slide your phone into that subtle case strapped to your arm so you can really get into the spirit of the game. I’m glad to see that Bethesda is continuing to bridge platforms (just as it’s been doing with Fallour Shelter), and I think the Fallout Pip-Boy app will be perfect for those who went to get even more into their Fallout experience.
