In July of last year we learned that Mi Clos Studios’ excellent (and punishing!) roguelike/gamebook/strategy/space adventure Out There ($4.99) would be getting a huge expansion dubbed the Omega Edition which revamped much of the artwork and added lots of new features to the game. Us mobile gamers had to watch in anguish as our desktop gaming counterparts received the Omega Edition of Out There back in April. However, that anguish ends today as just moments ago the iOS version has received the Omega Edition update as well.

If you have been enjoying Out There in the past, then rush right over to your nearest App Store and start downloading the Omega Edition update. If you’re new to the game, now isn’t a bad time to get started as this really should end up being the definitive version of the game. Like I said though, it’s punishingly difficult, but at the same time that’s also what makes it so satisfying those few times you actually manage to not immediately die in deep space.
