Heads up if you have an Android device – Geometry Wars 3 ($9.99) is now available on both Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. Regardless of whether you go with a standard Android device, or one of the Amazon flavors, you can play this fantastic dual-stick shooter for yourself. It’s got all the features of the iOS version, meaning it’s got all the content of the console versions from when they launched (the “Evolved" expansion isn’t on mobile yet), a one-handed auto-fire setting, and support for Bluetooth controllers.
This does kind of show off how silly mobile game pricing is. Geometry Wars 3 on Android is $4.99, just like the iOS version. You could presumably play this on one of the many Android-powered microconsoles that are out there. So, you could pay a third of the price to play the exact same game as you would get on the consoles, on the same TV, and using a wireless controller the same way you would elsewhere. We live in a strange world, folks.
