Yak Dash: Horns of Glory is a game that’s high up on my list of games to be excited about in part because the game has a really unique theme and has a nifty look to it. Well, we now have a release date for this yak-racer: January 22nd. The game will release for $1.99, and feature 17 total levels to race through. UK-based producer Baconhead provides the soundtrack for the game, claiming “inspiration from 1970s exotica records and Shoji Yamashiro’s Akira soundtrack." Check out some gameplay footage below, which is actually only lightly-edited so you can see how the flow of the game works:
This also reveals that you can race against other players’ times and see your global rank on each course to try and improve it. Good luck! This should be a fun one to keep an eye on when it releaes, given the production values in a popular genre of 2D racing games popularized by Hill Climb Racing (Free) and the like. But they don’t have yaks, like Yak Dash does.
