‘Sky Tourist: Blitz Trip’ Rises to the App Store Propelled by Rockets on July 10th

Three Legged Egg’s Sky Tourist ($1.99) is getting a sequel this Thursday, July 10th, with Sky Tourist: Blitz Trip, a followup that will bring 60 more levels of physics-baced ascent to mobile. The game will seemingly feature similar gameplay as the original, where players move the protagonist Petey on a rope between two rockets, dragging each one up and down to help move him around and to avoid obstacles. The developers are claiming to have taken feedback from the original to heart, claiming that they have “created new levels to best fit the mobile platform," though the original was a mobile-exclusive as well. But hey, if it means a better game – and there’s a smaller level count, only 60 this time instead of 75 – then I’m all for it.

This announcement does come as a bit of a surprise as back in March, they announced Badass Trial and said that was coming soon, but there’s been no word of that since, and this game has suddenly popped up. The original game was reviewed well, but will this have enough differentiation to stay fresh? And will there be less kicking of friendly natives in the head? We’ll find out soon.

Bought this a while ago and found it unique. Glad to see a good review about it. Its a top class game and I love the cards.

Reminds me of Urban Rivals, and I quite liked that one :) Great game to play while sitting on the can LOL! Will I get this one? Nah, most likely not. Why? Because I only play on my phone while on the can, and this one is for iPad only :P

When this game was released, the developer said in the game's forum an iPhone version was in the cards. Idk if that is still the case (I hope so), but given that I've seen recent updates it's fair to say the developer is still tinkering away.

Well then :) It seems like I might play this one in "the tiny office" some day after all then :D Skylanders Sky Patrol is starting to get boring :P Im not ready to start paper crafting birds out of toiletpaper yet LOL!

The iPhone version is still in the works. It's pretty far along, sorry for the delay.

After that we are planning to implement the "overpowered, just for fun" EX cards. You can see what those are for all 20 characters in the update posts for the kickstarter of the tabletop version of Yomi: https://www.kickstarter.com...
(Note that as I type this, the kickstarter is currently live and in its last week.)

In case anyone reading this doesn't already know, if you're on the fence about buying this and want to try the game, you can play the web version for free on a Mac or PC, using a random character. You can play through the tutorial, play against the AI, or against other people. Go to fantasystrike.com, sign up for a free account, and hit Play.

Sigh... Just give us a proper arcade fighting game already..

$10 is a steal... The physical game is $100, and you have to store it, set it up, and argue about the rules. iPad board game ports are outstanding.
