Crytek just announced a free to play mobile shooter called The Collectables. As you can see from the trailer, Crytek seems to be living up to its reputation when it comes to pumping out crazy graphics, as their mobile free to play debut looks pretty awesome:
Details are vague, but according to Crytek the game involves “commanding a squad of elite soldiers and lead them into explosive combat with strategic precision." So far they seem to be leaning pretty heavily on the free to play social stuff, which isn’t much of a surprise given the ties to Mobage and DeNA. If you sign up on their web site you get access to a free in-game character and “exclusive" equipment, which we’ve seen DeNA do before with other games.
The Collectables is “coming soon," and with the iTunes freeze upon us I’m guessing “soon" means “the 18th," but we’ll have to wait and see.

All these Lego games NEED save-anywhere options. That's the only thing that ever holds me back from buying or playing some of these. Too time consuming to almost finish a level, then have to take a phone call, accidentally forget about it, restart the phone, and be out of luck. If I can't play in 5 minute chunks, its just not successful mobile format.
agreed. the only lego iOS that had a save point update was DC HEROES. before that, it was super frustrating.
I agree ...and it would be nice to have iCloud support so it can go between devices, too. Are there any other Lego games with that feature?

I think the controls on iOS for this game as a platformer is frankly abominable and reason enough to stay away from this game

When you go to buy any individual pack it will offer you the bundle option on the screen that pops up. After purchasing, make sure you go to options and restore purchases.

This game was my childhood. I'm overcome by nostalgia at the sounds and everything about this game. So many memories. One time when I was younger me and my brother stayed up till six in the morning playing this on the PS3. Now it's in the palm of my hand. Technology just trips me out. Anyway the actual game is amazing, clearly, but I do have a few complaints: the buttons should be re-sizable because I keep missing the jump button. Although that's more my fault than anything else honestly. And the resolution is pretty low. It still looks good though. All in all it's a must buy in my opinion.
i know what you mean about the tech these days. i still play the legend of zelda from time to time whenever someone doesn't believe that i can beat both quests straight through without dying in about three hours
Controls are a little frustrating.
I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere - I've purchased the bundles for all levels and beaten all the levels. When I go back in to play each level in Free Play mode it won't allow me to switch between the other 6 characters that were automatically selected?? It'll only let me switch between the 2 characters on screen. Is there something I'm missing or is this a glitch?
