You can tell we’re getting closer to the launch of iOS 7 controller with the rate that things are leaking, or, at least, that’s how this typically works. Right now we’ve got two main contenders, the Logitech offering, which per @evleaksis going to be called the “Powershell" and the MOGA Ace Power. Over the weekend, a YouTube SNAFU resulted in a trailer for the MOGA Ace Power to briefly pop up. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, once something is out there, it’s out there. Here’s a mirror of it:
There’s no amazing revelations to come out of the video other than confirmation that it has R1/R2 and L1/L2 buttons which weren’t visible in previous leaks. It is neat to see it in 3D though, particularly with an iPhone in it, as it really gives you a good idea of its size. As far as pricing is concerned, you’d think the MOGA Ace Power would be the same $59 as its Android counterpart, but per The Verge and a now offline Google cache, the pricing was set to $99.
A $99 price point would put the MOGA Ace Power perfectly in line with other iPhone battery cases, although obviously the MOGA variation does way more. Additionally, the Logitech branding of “Powershell" makes me wonder if their controller is also going to have a battery in it and similar pricing.
Either way, the rumor mill is now pointing at mid-November for these releases, so, we shouldn’t have too much longer to wildly speculate.
