Indie developer Alisdair Mills wrote in to inform us that he is readying StuntBike, an accelerometer-controlled, physics-based iPhone game, for a November release in the App Store.
Similar to the multi-platform XMoto, StuntBike challenges the player to get a motor bike to the end of a track by negotiating various obstacles and hazards. The game will feature 16 single player levels and a two player “race to the flag" mode that can be played over WiFi.
Althought a final price has not yet been set, Alisdair indicates it likely won’t be over $0.99.
See a demo video of the game in its current state, posted by the developer.
Yeah but a rabbit will beat a mouse in a fight any day!
Its an awesome game, know it from mobile. You can fly, use lawnmower like a car and there are time-trial bonus rounds. Looking forward to it!
Personally, I don't think that presenting a MIDI soundtrack as "cd quality" is a little disingenuous. They could have easily marketed it as "old school" or something.
Midi is worse than old school. Old school is scream tracker 3. Midi is that annoying sound on my 286 computer back in '87.
Midi depends on the sound processor. But judging from the video, the ingame sound on iPhone is much better. And since Youtube is not a sound quality powerhouse...looking forward to hear directly from the device.
The quality looks nice!
wow! this looks like it will be a lot of fun! I hope there are more adventure type games like this later on.
Nice looking game!
