The Apple Arcade exclusive Sonic Dream Team () is getting a brand-new update this week. If you’ve not kept up with it, Sonic Dream Team is a new 3D Sonic action-platformer that launched late last year. We featured it as our Game of the Week when it released. Read Shaun’s review of it here. Since launching, it got its first major update in February this year. The second major update brings in a brand-new zone, ranked badges, and more for Apple Arcade. The first update for the game had SEGA confirm that it was the first of three updates planned for this year. I’m curious to see what SEGA does after these planned updates. Check out a screenshot from this week’s major update below:
Last week, I had a chance to chat with SEGA HARDlight and Apple about this update and more. I checked in the status of 120fps support from my prior interview which you can read here. The team’s response gave me some hope that it might arrive, but there’s nothing set in stone yet. You can grab the game here on the App Store for Apple Arcade. Head over to our forum thread for the game here for more discussion around the game. The App Store description mentions completing missions, fighting bosses, and finding toys of Sonic characters for your collection. I’m curious to see what we get for our third post-launch update whenever that launches. What do you think of Sonic Dream Team so far if you’ve played it since it has released in some regions?
