SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘PAW Patrol World’ and ‘Betomis’, Plus Today’s Other Releases and Sales

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for September 27th, 2023. It’s a quiet Wednesday, and that’s not something that is all that unusual when it comes to Nintendo Switch. Tomorrow has almost thirty new releases on the schedule, so it won’t be staying quiet for very long. Anyway, enjoy a few new releases, plus some lists of new and outgoing sales for you to look over. I would hold on to my money for another day or two, though. I have a feeling you’ll find plenty of ways to use it soon. Let’s get to it!

New Releases

PAW Patrol World ($39.99)

Another PAW Patrol game for all of the kids who love these pups, whether they be small kids or big ones. You get a decent-sized world to roam around in, some minigames to play, collectibles to find, quests to complete, and the option to play with a second player via local co-op. This isn’t really aimed at me, so I can’t say how good it is or not at satisfying its audience. But what I will say is that this is just the latest in a line of PAW Patrol games on the Switch from Outright, so they’re clearly resonating with the fans to some degree. I imagine this one will too.

Betomis ($4.99)

Here’s a precision platformer with single-screen stages where you need to find the weapons and keys that allow you to get to the exit on each. Nothing particularly unusual or unique about it. I mean, it uses double jumps and instant reloads after death as bullet points. But it’s five dollars, has a bunch of stages to work your way through, and seems to be competently made. For some, that may be enough.

Lord of the Click: Interstellar Wars ($4.99)

Another Lord of the Click game, and other than the new setting there doesn’t seem to be much of interest going on here. I won’t toss it in the bin but it’s on the edge of the table beside the open rubbish can and I’m not particularly worried about whether or not it falls in on its own.

The Bin Bunch

My Name is Mayo 2 ($0.99)

Sales

(North American eShop, US Prices)

Well, not much to speak of today. What little there is in that inbox is pretty good, if nothing else. The outbox has more going on, with sales from KEMCO and ININ Games wrapping up soon. G-Darius HD, Raging Bytes, and Little Noah jump to mind, but I’ll let you sort through those two lists and see what catches your eye.

That’s all for today, friends. We’ll be back tomorrow with nearly thirty new releases, at least half of which look very dubious indeed. But that still means fifteen or so non-dubious games, and that’s a lot for one day. We’ll also have whatever sales roll in during the course of the next day, and if any big news pops up we’ll cover that too. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday, and as always, thanks for reading!
