Yesterday, The Binding of Isaac Executive Producer Tyrone Rodriguez Tweeted about the update and mentioned it running well on iPhone X and later. I’ve been checking the App Store page for the update, but it still isn’t live. I did notice that the in app purchases are now listed ahead of the update releasing revealing multiple bundles and more including the DLC price to upgrade for existing owners. Right now, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is priced at $14.99. To get everything and be completely up to date, you need to buy the The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, and The Binding of Isaac: Repentance DLC packs. These packs are $14.99 individually, but there are three bundles available. The first is a bundle of all three packs for $39.99. This pack will give you everything as an owner of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
If you just buy one DLC pack, you can grab the others for $24.99. There is also a bundle of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth and The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ for $24.99 that would let you get just The Binding of Isaac: Repentance later on for $14.99. Basically you will need to pay $39.99 to get everything on iOS after buying The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. I don’t know if all will be available from day one, but this is what is listed on the App Store right now. Watch a trailer for the newest expansion below:
I’m curious to see how The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth itself on iOS feels after the update goes live for modern devices. The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is available for $59.99 on Xbox Series X as a complete game with all content and expansions. The complete bundle without discounts on Steam is around $51 as well. On Nintendo Switch, the game was sold as The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ with a $20 upgrade to get The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. I played Afterbirth+ a ton of it on Nintendo Switch, but will likely end up playing The Binding of Isaac: Repentance more on iOS assuming it ends up being a good update. I hope this update goes live soon, but since the App Store already lists the in app purchases and prices, it likely will be sooner than later. Have you tried The Binding of Isaac: Repentance on any platform yet and what do you think of the DLC prices on iOS?
