Back in September last year at the Ubisoft Forward showcase, Ubisoft announced a brand new Assassin’s Creed game for mobile in the form of Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade. Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is a free to play open world AAA RPG featuring character creation, iconic Assassin’s Creed gameplay, and more optimized for touch controls. Today at the Ubisoft Forward 2023 showcase, the company revealed a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade and announced that a closed beta is coming soon. Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade sees players go to China’s ancient past and is set in between the events of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Origins. While there is no release date or window for the full game yet, you can sign up for the closed beta test here. Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is looking to be a great take on the company’s modern Assassin’s Creed games for mobile. For those after the older games, Assassin’s Creed Mirage looks to be firing on all cylinders on that front for PC and consoles. I’m interested to try out Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade when I can.
