Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for December 14th, 2022. We start things off today with a little news before heading into the summaries of the new releases of the day. There are only a few, and two of the three have pretty similar vibes to them. Well, no junk at least. After that, the usual lists of new and outgoing sales. We’re nothing if not adherent to tradition around here. Let’s get to it!

‘Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection’ Release Set for April 14th
We already knew that Capcom’s latest collection of classic Blue Bomber games was coming early in 2023, and we now have a more precise date. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will release on April 14th, 2023. You’ll be able to buy it digitally in two parts for $39.99 each or pick up an all-in-one physical set (yes, both sets are on the cart!) for $59.99. Be sure to check out the new trailer above which, in addition to announcing the release date, also outlines some of the online features.
New Releases
Lil Gator Game ($19.99)
What to call this kind of thing? A Short Hike-likes? Anyway, you’re the Lil Gator that the title speaks of. You explore a lush island as you see fit, making friends, helping people out, or doing whatever. Looks like a nice chill time, but I haven’t had a chance to play it yet so I can’t say if it’s as chill as A Short Hike. Even moving the camera down to Gator-level helps it look like its own thing, at least.
Raptor Boyfriend: A High School Romance ($13.99)
Yesterday we had a Japanese visual novel about dating people who are actually animal spirits in human form, and today we have a Western visual novel about dating people who are actually cryptids. Sure, why not? The love interests include a fairy named Day, a sasquatch named Taylor, and a dinosaur named Robert. Wonder if he’s any relation to the son from Dinosaurs? Anyway, it’s a Western visual novel so expect plenty of satire as you make your way to one of the multiple endings on offer.
Aka ($12.99)
This is a farming sim game that is more or less about processing grief. In the aftermath of a war that had heavy losses, those who remain are picking up the pieces. It’s not an outright sad game at all, but there is a certain melancholy tone to it. You’ll do resource gathering, farming, play some mini-games, and explore a decent-sized open world. There are lots of characters to interact with, and each of them has their own story going on. Probably not for everyone, but if you’re looking for some feels today, this might deliver them.
