Square Enix just announced that it is shutting down Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier (Free) on iOS and Android in January 2023. Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier launched late last year and recently had its fourth season go live in-game. With today’s announcement, Shinra Credits will not be available in the shop, but those you own can be used until service ends. From November 1st, non-English language support will end and the game will be in English until the end of service. Square Enix says updates will be released leading into service ending. Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is free to play with in app purchases, but those have now been disabled for new purchases. This was one of the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration announcements and it is shutting down in little over a year since launch.
