Talking Tom Gold Run’s latest charity event will help Outfit7 plant 30,000 trees this Earth Day

Everyone know that cats absolutely love trees, but there’s one particular adorable moggy that loves them so much that he and his pals have decided to help them – at least in a figurative sense – as Outfit7, the developer behind the hit Talking Tom series, has just pledged to plant over 30,000 trees for Earth Day.

With Earth Day celebrations set to commence this Friday, Outfit7 is currently running a special “Grow & Go” in-game event for its most popular endless runner, Talking Tom Gold Run, which invites players to raise awareness and money for their pledge.

The event itself is very straightforward, requiring players to grab special droplets during their runs which can then be used to help grow their in-game trees and unlock special rewards along the way.

Besides making a positive difference to Talking Tom’s in-game world, players will also help make a direct contribution to the real world too, as all revenue earned from in-app purchases during the event will be donated to the charitable organization, One Tree Planted, which plants one tree for every dollar it receives.

Outfit7 has been among the most active mobile gaming companies when it comes to philanthropic projects in recent years, with the company’s CEO, Xinyu Qian, stating “Our commitment to giving back and helping our communities is at the heart of our culture at Outfit7. Last year, we helped build a playground, plant trees following a wildfire in Cyprus, host a coding school for children, and more. Our Earth Day campaign this year is another great activation in which we can use the power of our brand to make a positive impact where it is truly needed.”

Talking Tom Gold Run’s Grow & Go event is currently live and will run through to May 2, so if you’d like to get involved, simply download the game from the App Store and Google Play and start grabbing those droplets.
