Location-Based Augmented Reality Game ‘The Witcher: Monster Slayer’ Is Out Now on iOS and Android

TouchArcade Rating:

The Witcher: Monster Slayer (Free) from CD Projekt Red’s in-house studio Spokko Games was announced last year and the location-based augmented reality game for iOS and Android has finally now launched worldwide. If you’ve not heard of it yet, The Witcher: Monster Slayer feels like The Witcher meets Pokemon GO with its own story seasons, building up your own legend, unique characters, and more. The Witcher: Monster Slayer lets you take on enemies from The Witcher universe in AR battles and it has now launched with the first story season. Following pre-registrations on Google Play, Spokko Games has confirmed that the Kaoer Morhen sword will be given to all players who login to the game within the first week of release. Watch the new trailer for The Witcher: Monster Slayer below:

For phones that don’t support ARCore, Spokko Games is working on a solution with news on that front to come soon. As of now, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is out now globally on iOS and Android for free. If you’d like to check it out, you can get it on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. Head over to our forum thread for impressions as well with the full launch finally here. I’m curious to see if there is any cross promotion with The Witcher 3‘s upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X|S free upgrade when that releases across a new story season or maybe event quests. Check out the official game website here. Have you tried The Witcher: Monster Slayer soft launch or were you waiting for the full release?
