Pokemon GO (Free) continues to grow in fun ways, and the game’s next update will change things up considerably. First of all, 50 more Pokemon originally discovered in the Hoenn region are now available to catch, with even more Hoenn region Pokemon arriving in the coming weeks. Pokemon like Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip and many more are running around the world waiting to be caught (kind of sad, isn’t it when you think about it?). Even more interestingly, the new update adds dynamic weather that ties into the real-world weather of the location you’re playing at, and this dynamic weather is more than just cosmetic.
Specifically, the weather will change Pokemon habitats and where they can be found, making going out chasing Pokemon when raining or snowing more fun. For instance, in the rain you might find Mudkip splashing around, in the sun Cacnea basking, and in the snow Snorunt huddling together. This new feature will make for more variety, which is always welcome. The weather will also affect Combat Power. I’m glad to see these new features become part of the game, and I’m even more excited about the possibilities the real weather aspect plays in the upcoming Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. What do you think about this new feature?
