Solitaire is one of the most beloved and most played video games in history, thanks in large part to the Windows operating system. When mobile gaming became a thing with the arrival of smartphones, there was never any shortage of Solitaire games to choose from. Perhaps TOO many, to be honest. With a genre that’s so well-covered it can be tough to make your Solitaire game stand out from the pack, but developer Sticky Hands is hoping to do just that by combining the solo card game with city-buildig mechanics in the upcoming Age of Solitaire. Have a look.
It’s not totally clear from the developer’s posts in our forums exactly how the city-building fits in to all the Solitaire play, whether it’s just some cute window dressing for an otherwise straightforward game of Solitaire or if your performance somehow influences how each city is built out. Either way it looks really cool, and the developer also states that there are no timers or energy systems built into the game so it sounds like it might just be a fully premium experience. The lack of details isn’t too worrying though as Age of Solitaire is right around the corner with a planned release of July 25th so be sure to check it out then.
