Dropout Games’ upcoming Neo Angle is a recipe for 80s flashbacks, which is never a bad thing in my eyes. This upcoming puzzle game, which we talked about recently, uses a neon aesthetic and 80s synth music to make a visually-pleasing minimalist game. You guide Neo (no relation to the Matrix guy) through complicated mazes, and you need to pick up all the pyramids in order to exit the level. The tricky part is you can’t retrace your steps, so you’ll have to think about your moves carefully before setting off. One could turn the game into a metaphor about how life should be all about moving forward, but who has the energy for that.
Neo Angle brings plenty of hand-crafted levels for you to navigate and different mechanics to keep things interesting. The game will be bringing its 80s aesthetics to the App Store August 3rd, and it will set you back $0.99. In the meantime, head over to our forum thread for more.
