I’ve been playing the soft-launched War Wings for a while now, and it’s a pretty fun 4v4 real-time dogfighting game that will remind you a lot of World of Tanks but in the air (I’m pretty sure the game is “inspired" by Wargaming’s World of Warplanes). The game has been in soft launch in many European countries as well as Australia and New Zealand, and later this month it will visit the UK on both Android and iOS. The game will celebrate the UK launch with special in-game events commemorating the Battle of Britain, which is appropriate given you can fly most of the airplanes that took part in that battle.
The game is F2P and has the kinds of shenanigans you would expect, and I’m hoping that it doesn’t turn into pay-to-win because it would be a pity. War Wings will be coming to the US soon, so just a bit more patience is required.
