I generally know my RPGs, but I’m no aficionado of the genre, so I wasn’t surprised to find out that I didn’t know Tunnels & Trolls, originally designed by Ken St. Andre, was the second tabletop RPG ever published. If you enjoy RPGs, you’ll be happy to know that this classic RPG is coming to iOS and Android on August 17th under the name Tunnels & Trolls Adventures. The game is the first title to be released on the MetaArcade Adventures Platform, a new platform, which we wrote about in the past, that will allow players to create and publish their own RPG Adventures (although it’s won’t be releasing until later).
Tunnels & Trolls Adventures will have you creating your own adventurer, arming yourself, and setting out into the lands of Trollworld. If you survive long enough, you may even become a true hero. Trollworld is interesting in that it’s a world where the monsters have already won, and the hostilities have generally ended. But there’s always room for heroes. The game is aiming for an authentic digital remastering of the game and will let you enjoy fun solo adventures.
