I remember quite a few years ago when a very ambitious card game called Eminence: Xander’s Tale got successfully funded on Kickstarter and also become quite popular in our Upcoming Games forum thread. And then it went pretty silent, with the last post in our forum dating back to 2015. Good news, though, because it looks like the game is alive and well and is currently looking for beta testers, although priority will be given to Kickstarter backers. Still, this is great news for all those (including me) who were excited about the game’s possibilities.
Eminence: Xander’s Tales is a trading card game where you collect cards when beating your opponents, which already sounds like a fun twist to the formula. In addition to that, the game has an MMO environment and RPG elements, which makes the game even more intriguing. Specifically, the game has a world you can explore, an evolving story, and all kinds of multiplayer guilds, events and tournaments.
