‘Flick Champions Extreme’ Does Sick Parkour Moves on June 15th

The Flick Champions series of games has been kicking around with various entries across the different sports. But for far too long, Flick Champions hasn’t been EXTREME. And now, it is going to be just that, with Flick Champions Extreme set to hit on June 15th. You’ll have five different sports to check out: wingsuit, parkour, rock climbing, surfing, and paintball. There will be three diferent game modes: career, endless, and challenge. There’s gonna be a bunch of powerups to obtain to help you along your way as you compete to be the most extreme of the extreme sports doers.

The Flick Champions series has been full of fun games so far, and while they’re definitely starting to expand the list of events that you would expect from this series, there’s sure to be some fun to be had from the casual takes on these different events. Check it out this Thursday. There’s a forum thread for the game in the interim if you want to discuss this one!

Awesome article. Really fun and engaging read. Look forward to the article on action rpgs. That's one where I don't really know what the term means so look forward to being enlightened.

Wow, I just sunk two hours into reading about the Playdek debacle. And my impression had always been that Playdek was a smart, professional company. Everyone lost something, but four backers apparently sank $2500 each into a project whose funds, it appears, were diverted to other projects.

BUT! What a great article (again)! Although I STILL can't wrap my head around calling them TRPGs rather than SRPGs. I know it's a regional thing, but old habits die hard, I guess.

    Thanks!

Thanks Shawn, a nice wrap-up to a great series.

The games that really gripped me in their day: Shining Force, Vandal Hearts, Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem (GBA & GC), Jeanne D'Arc (fantastic) and more recently XCOM:Enemy Unknown and Warhammer Quest. Currently playing Stella Glow, but not sure about it yet.

It's strange, but try as I might I've never been able to get into FFT...

Tactics Ogre was my obsession for a long time, its so good!

Warhammer Quest is so good. Looking forward to the sequel. I also have Deathwatch by the same guys, but not fired it up yet (I prefer the fantasy setting). As for Mario vs Rabbids, I honestly don't know whether to run a mile or instabuy.

Everyone, prepare for Shaun to tell you that Monster Hunter is not an ARPG. There are grey areas here...

If you love TRPG do yourself a favor and look at Warsong for the Sega Genesis. (Also known as langrisser in Japanese.) My favorite of all time plus it was a huge inspiration on the fire emblem franchise. The Langrisser series gets little love in the conversations and I have never understood why not.

It was mentioned in part 2, which covered the 1990s. I think Langrisser gets left out because only two of the games have gotten official English releases: Langrisser 1/Warsong and Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei (which is pure trash but also mentioned in this very article!).

Growlanser has had a better localization track record, but I really think only the first and fourth are worth mentioning at all, and only the first really has any historical influence.

Thanks for a great set of articles Shaun, brought back some great memories plus some ideas for some weekend amusement for the ones I've missed.
