Ever since Minecraft became the hit that it is, blocky games have become quite popular. As you can tell from the name and the trailer below, the upcoming Blocky Castle is definitely building on that aesthetic but has added plenty of color to it, which helps the various characters pop out nicely. Sometimes developers don’t take advantage of how nice vibrant colors look on the retina display, so I’m glad this game is going for a colorful look. The game has you climbing a tall, steep tower while avoiding all kinds of obstacles and enemies. There are plenty of worlds judging from the trailer, which should make for nice visual variety.
Blocky Castle, just like Crossy Road, will be using its many silly-looking characters to keep you coming back from more. The game will be dropping on the App Store April 13th, and you can find out more about it in our forum page.
