It truly is a golden age for digital ports, isn’t it? This time around, we’re getting on mobile the very popular Race for the Galaxy next month, and I know many of you will be happy about that. Race for the Galaxy is a card game where players build galactic civilizations using cards that represent worlds or technical and social developments. This Euro game is all about trying to have the most victory points by the time the game ends, so it’s all about building a strong economy and having a steady income throughout the game.
The game is for 2-4 players, and the digital version will come with online multiplayer, which is good news. There’s also single player mode with “advanced neural network AI" according to the developers; Apparently, the AI for this game was developed as a research project on neural networks, so I’m curious to see how advanced it actually is. The good news for those who like the game is that the Gathering Storm and Rebel Vs Imperium expansions will be available upon launch. If you want to join the limited beta, go here. Race for the Galaxy will be out May 3rd and will cost $6.99.
