The latest entry in the fabled Robot Unicorn Attack franchise was first announced back in January, and just about a week later it soft-launched in select territories. A couple of weeks after THAT, Adult Swim Games detailed some of what they had in store for Robot Unicorn Attack 3 in terms of updates and fleshing out their zany world of mechanical unicorns. This leads us to just last week when pre-registration opened up for the game on Android, leading us to speculate that the worldwide launch wouldn’t be too far off. Well, if Senior Producer at Adult Swim Games Chris Johnson’s Twitter timeline is anything to go by, it looks like Robot Unicorn Attack 3 is all set to launch worldwide next week.

Robot Unicorn Attack has a long history, first releasing as a Flash game way back in 2010 whose immediate popularity led to Adult Swim releasing the game on iOS later that year. It was an instant hit as a mobile game too, and following a few spinoff versions a full sequel was created in partnership with PikPok and released in April of 2013. That game was also tremendously successful and opened the gate for a more fleshed out experience with a fully customizable robot unicorn. Robot Unicorn Attack 3 is being co-developed by Get Set Games this time around, and takes things even further with a huge cast of unlockable unicorns that you can place into teams and set out to fulfill your dreams. I’ve enjoyed my time with the soft-launched version but am looking forward to the official worldwide release of Robot Unicorn Attack 3 just one week from now.
