If you like your board games digital, get ready for a really good one to hit the App Store soon. Terra Mystica is a game for 2 to 5 players that rewards strategic planning over luck. You play as one of the 14 groups, and you try to expand your area as much as you can using subtle means. Along the way, you construct and upgrade buildings that give you different resources while also terraforming the land around you. According to the game’s description over at Boardgamegeek, you’ll have to develop your terraforming skills in order to prevail over your neighbors. The game has received a ton of awards, including Game of the Year and Family Game Winner, and it’s ranked fourth overall over on Boardgamegeek.

The game is being developed by Digidiced, which has given us some great board game ports, so I expect it to be top notch. The digital port will include the Fire and Ice expansion, which adds new competitors for the original factions as well as two brand new factions. Terra Mystica will release April 20th.
