If you’re a fan of the classic Fighting Fantasy books by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, Nomad Games has some good news for you. The developer behind Talisman is developing Fighting Fantasy Legends, a card based role playing game set in the world of Fighting Fantasy. Nomad Games is planning on putting a new spin on these very familiar adventures by having you explore the continent of Allansia collecting cards and powering up your dice. You’ll be playing with decks themed to locations on the map, including dungeons, cities, and so on.
The game will come with three books from the series: City of Thieves, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, and Citadel of Chaos. We’ve played some of those books by other developers, such as Tin Man Games, so we’ll see how differently Fighting Fantasy Legends will feel and play. The game is coming to iOS and Android this summer.
