Polish developer AT Games is working on Full of Stars, a game that looks off the bat like an arcade-style, vertically-scrolling game where you’re flying through space, dodging asteroids, lasers and other hazards. However, the structure of the game plays an important role, as the story of helping a colony of refugees find a safe haven somewhere in the galaxy, informs the experience. Story elements between levels, along with procedurally-generated paths along the way, help you in your quest to expand the safe haven and help survivors out.
This seems like an intriguing mix of a simple, shoot ’em up-inspired game with some deeper story elements, and I’m curious to see how it all plays out. Plus, AT Games got Marcin Przybylowicz, who did the soundtrack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to compose music for this game, which is just an impressive name to get. If you want to chat about this one and help beta test the game ahead of its expected April release, check out the forum thread for more details.
