Telltale has officially started spilling the beans on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, and the more I hear about the game, the more I can’t wait to play it. In a recent interview, Sean Ainsworth, the game’s Creative Lead, talked about how players will primarily play as Star-Lord, but there will be moments when you get to play the other characters (can’t wait for Groot’s dialogue options). You’ll also get to forge relationships with the other Guardians, and I wonder how easy it will be to pretty much irritate all of them. You’ll also get to explore the Milano since it will be the main vehicle you’ll use throughout the game.
In terms of the story, while you’ll start out protecting the galaxy, you’ll have to rethink a lot of your preconceptions once the artifact comes into the picture. And it looks like there will be story moments you’ll play as different characters depending on your choices, probably like how you could play specific scenes in the Batman series as either Batman or Bruce Wayne. The interview goes on to talk about the casting decisions and the writing process, so check it out here. I do hope that Telltale has improve the technology, and we get a mobile game that actually plays well on mobile.
