As you probably know by now, the Marvel IP Telltale has been working on is Guardians of the Galaxy, and after getting a short teaser and no details, we got to hear a bit more about the series today. The series will be a brand new story and starts with the Guardians discovering an artifact of unspeakable power (probably a Baby Groot dancing toy). Each of the Guardians has his or her own reason for desiring the relic, and there’s also an enemy – the last of her kind – who wants to get her hands on that relic. The story will take us from Earth to the Milano to Knowhere, and, of course, will be accompanied by the awesome soundtrack Guardians is known for.
The game will feature Scott Porter (of Friday Night Lights) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless) as Gamora, Nolan North (of Uncharted) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (League of Legends) as Groot. Telltale plans to unveil more about the new series on March 10th at PAX East, and one week later, at SXSW, we’ll get the first Crowd Play of an early version of the first episode. So, expect to hear more about the game over the next two weeks. The series will premiere Spring 2017.
