It’s been a REAL long time since we last talked about Tin Man Game’s upcoming video game adaptation of the original Fighting Fantasy gamebook The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, but even way back in October of 2015 the game was looking very promising. The team has worked their butts off on the game since then, and it released on Steam back in August of last year to critical acclaim from players. Now the time has finally arrived to experience The Warlock of Firetop Mountain on our iOS devices, as today Tin Man has announced the game will be coming to the App Store on February 22nd.
As you can see, Tin Man has really nailed the tabletop RPG aesthetic while still making the game visually impressive in a video game sense. I love how the levels sort of assemble themselves right before you as you move your little figure around. The Warlock of Firetop Mountain will feature four different playable characters, each with their own unique storylines which are fleshed out by both old and new illustrations from the gamebook’s original artist Russ Nicholson. Pretty much everything about The Warlock of Firetop Mountain is looking spectacular, so if you’re a fan of RPGs, gamebooks, tapletop games, or all of the above look for it on iOS February 22nd for a price of $4.99.
