Gory puzzler Slayaway Camp was announced for mobile last spring, but then the game saw a pivot to PC. Which was probably smart, since a ton of outlets that probably wouldn’t touch a mobile game like that covered the game. Plus, the developers were able to sell for $8.99, well above your average paid game price on mobile. But now, it looks like Slayaway Camp is set to finally hit mobile as it was designed. And it’s going to release on the spookiest, scariest, most dread-inducing day of them all: Valentine’s Day.

What’s interesting is that at one point, Apple was rejecting Slayaway Camp for similar reasons as The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth ($14.99):
@edmundmcmillen hey, apple won't take slayaway camp cause of "violence against children"…what did you guys do to eventually get BoI in?

But apparently, this has all been taken care of and your chance to commit gruesome voxel murders in a block-sliding puzzle game. It looks like some ridiculous, horror-inspired fun, and I’m glad it’s finally hitting mobile as it always intended to be!
