Tomorrow Corporation has announced that it is bringing World of Goo ($4.99), Little Inferno ($3.99), and Human Resource Machine ($4.99) to the Nintendo Switch on launch day, March 3rd. The three-person studio consisting of half of World of Goo developer 2D BOY (Kyle Gabler) is also bringing a new soundtrack mode to all 3 games’ Switch versions, where the full original soundtrack of each game (all composed by Kyle Gabler) will be available to listen to.
So here’s what’s kind of interesting. All those games are on mobile, so they’ve been designed for touchscreens. And while Nintendo has been tight-lipped about some details, there’s an interesting thing to keep in mind. Nintendo shows the compatible play modes for a title, differentiating between TV mode, Tabletop mode, and Handheld mode.
And interestingly, it looks like they’ll only support Handheld mode:
Tomorrow Corporation games require the precision and loving caress that only your sweaty fingers can provide.

This is the first sign we’ve seen that games can be playable in just Handheld mode. So there’s the real potential for more games to just use Handheld controls with the touchscreen. The next wave of announcements will be interesting to keep track of, for sure.
