Supercell has added another toy for you to play with in Clash Royale (Free), and this time around it’s a tricky spell. Clone is an Epic spell unlockable from Arena 8, Frozen Peak, costs 3 Elixir and has 3 radius. What it does is – surprise! – clone units, and the fun part is those cloned units don’t have a spawn time, last forever, but they only have 1 HP. So they’re pretty much paper tigers, but if used correctly, they are very damaging paper tigers. You can cast the spell anywhere you want on the map – your side or the opponent’s – but it only works on units and not on buildings or units created from spells (sorry, no Log clone). This is going to be a fun spell to play, but it’s also going to be a tricky one to get the most out of.

As you can see in the video above when a unit is being cloned, it stops moving or attacking and charges are reset. So, you’ll have to be careful about when to use the spell. Cloned units always spawn on the right, so be careful where you position your original unit before casting the spell. And if a unit is frozen and you clone it, i’s not frozen anymore. It’s easy to see, then, that this is going to be a tricky spell to play and get the most out of.
