This week’s Hearthstone (Free) Tavern Brawl is a deathrattle blast from the past. We first got Double Deathrattler Battler more than a year ago, and now it’s here again. As you can guess from the title, in this brawl any deathrattle minion triggers twice, which is the path for all kinds of crazy shenanigans. You get to create your own deck this week, which was a slightly sore spot for many F2P players last time around because the best deathratttle minions came from Curse of Naxxramas, so those who lack that adventure are at a disadvantage this time around. Still, there are decks you can make that don’t use too many Naxx cards.

If you do have Naxx and a good collection over all, you can play cards like Kel’Thuzad, Sludge Belcher, Haunted Creeper, Explosive Sheep for those board clears, Twilight Summoner, Infested Tauren, Kindly Grandmother, Southsea Squidface (if you want to buff weapons), and so on. Overall, you can use the double deathrattles to build your board faster or to make your minions stickier and hold on to the board longer. Or you can play double Weasel Tunneler and fill your opponent’s deck with those 1/1 guys just for laughs.
