Hasbro is dipping its toes into mobile gaming once more with the upcoming Transformers: Forged to Fight, a fighting game with deep RPG elements. In this game, you’ll collect the most memorable Transformers from all eras of the franchise, so prepare to see Autobots and Decepticons from the animated TV series, the films, the comic book series, and, of course, the toys. You’ll of course play as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock, and more, and all of them will level up over time and get better abilities and attacks. As you can see from the trailer below, the robots look really good and the animation is well-done too. Of course the game will be judged on how well it plays, but signs are positive so far.
The story revolves around the oft-used event of multiple realities colliding, and you’ll have to assemble of team of Autobots and Decepticons to fight against corrupted Transformers and their overlords. As you go along, you’ll collect various Transformers, forge alliances, and battle other players. I hope Transformers: Forged to Fight plays well because if it does, I’m definitely giving it a shot. The game will soft-launch soon and expect a worldwide release in Spring 2017.
