Nitrome has put out a surprise release on the App Store: Hop Swap (Free). This is a platformer where you have to contend with gravity being pointed at a line at the center of the screen, with platforming taking place on either side of it, with the ability to swap between sides of the screen. And momentum carries over from one side to the other, so you can jump on one side, dive to the other side, and maintain momentum. That will come into play, so learning how the mechanics work is key to survival. That, and making sure your brain isn’t broken by the gravity-flipping.
The game monetizes in a familiar Nitrome way: you hit checkpoints that you can unlock by watching a video ad, paying some of the in-game currency, or just paying $3.99 to remove ads. This is quite the interesting little platformer, though it may break your brain if you give it a shot.
