‘Time Locker’ Shoot ’em Up Now Available on Android

TouchArcade Rating:

Unique shoot ’em up Time Locker (Free) has just landed on Android. This shoot ’em up freezes time when you stop moving, so you can take notice of your situation, and react a bit more tactically than in a frantic real-time game. However, the creeping death is coming from behind you, so you can’t dawdle for too long. Time Locker is free to download, with the game monetizing through video ads and a special big coin IAP, with coins used to purchase special weapons and animals that you can start off riding at the beginning of the game.

Time Locker is one of my favorite games this year, and it’s a wonderful example of how a game can take inspiration from another title – in this case, the stop-start mechanic of Superhot – and turn it into a fun, unique experience all its own. If you’re on Android, give this one a shot.

Agreed! I'm loving this one. Almost as much as our actual cats. Almost.

Awesome Review! I was hoping that TA gave this gem its well deserved 5 stars. I too agree that the controls are purrfect for this game 😸

Wow, between this, Nekosan and Super Phantom Cat, it's been a good year for catformers. Who knew that would become an actual game category?

    4. RossmanBrosGames

Great game. Once your brain clicks with the controls it's super fun.

How did you manage to write that whole review without once mentioning Mario World? :)

      1. Shaun James Musgrave

It was pretty easy. In spite of what Apple thought, I don't feel like the two games share much beyond a genre and a couple of similar enemies.

    6. Dailion Ando

The game have no end, and is a bit difficult at end.

It's great review and agree it's a different gameplay style completely .but I feel it shares a lot more than a passing resemblance to Mario and most of its aesthetic style with Marioworld a lot of items enemies backgrounds overworld map color pallete are clearly taken straight from Mario and also the music is
Almost the same is some areas.

        It's nothing like Mario World.
